    Sharol R. Stewart grew up in Middletown, CT. She has regained her love of watercolor painting after many years of other creative endeavors. Throughout her early years as a young woman, she demonstrated a passion for the arts by engaging in painting, ceramics, crewel embroidery, sewing Past Patterns, and making jewelry with Antique Buttons. Articles have appeared in the New York Times, Victorian Magazine, Norwich Bulletin, and The New London Day. Sharol has participated in watercolor workshops with Susan Duke­ at Coastal Carolina University in Myrtle Beach, SC, and Ralph Acosta at Stone Eagle Studio in Stonington, CT. She has exhibited at the Marshview Gallery in Old Saybrook.
    Currently Sharol is painting with the Shoreline Watercolor Workshop in Old Lyme under the
guidance of Elin Larson. She has a few paintings on exhibit at the Fresh Ayer Gallery April 20-May 8 in The Old Lyme Shopping Center, Old Lyme, CT. There will be an opening reception on April 19 from 5-7 pm. Gallery hours are Wednesday-Saturday 12 noon-8pm, Tuesday 12 noon-5pm.
    Sharol enjoys painting florals, seascapes, imaginary creativity and other subjects. One of her favorite techniques is called "wet on wet". Sharol's zest for life shines in her paintings. She resides in Niantic, CT.
